My Reaction

SimCity 2000 is a classic that made me feel like the mayor of my own city. Zoning neighborhoods, laying down roads and watching the skyline grow never gets old.

  • Building a city from an empty map into a thriving metropolis is endlessly satisfying.
  • Managing budgets, zoning and services adds real depth.
  • The music sets a relaxed, focused mood while you plan.

Verdict

SimCity 2000 is a cornerstone of the city-building genre. It’s easy to lose hours shaping your city and it still holds up today.
